PTA & PTO School Event Rentals for North Texas Schools
PTA and PTO organizers are often balancing more than entertainment. Budget, fundraising, volunteers, school approval, power, setup access and family attendance all affect what makes sense for the event.
Fun Times Party Rental works with PTA/PTO groups, schools, ISDs, staff and volunteers on carnivals, fundraisers, family nights, student celebrations and other campus events throughout North Texas.
School Event Experience You Can Build Around
What Kind of PTA/PTO Event Are You Planning?
Start with what the event is supposed to accomplish. The best rental plan for a fundraiser may look very different from a student reward event or a smaller family night.
School Carnival or Festival
Games, inflatables, concessions and family activities spread throughout the campus.
Fundraiser
An event where activity variety, concessions and family participation can support PTA/PTO fundraising goals.
Family Night
A smaller community-building event that may need fewer attractions but still needs a balanced age mix.
Student Celebration
Reward days, end-of-year events and other student-focused celebrations where throughput and age fit matter.

Start With the Goal, Not the Rental List
A PTA/PTO event is easier to plan when the organizing group first decides what success means. Are you trying to raise money, bring families together, reward students, or create a large school-wide celebration?
- Fundraising: think about activity variety, concessions, volunteers and how guests move through the event.
- Community building: focus on mixed-age activities and places families can participate together.
- Student celebration: throughput and age fit often become more important.
- Large campus event: footprint, power, access and multiple activity zones matter more.
Popular Rental Types for PTA/PTO Events
A useful event mix usually includes different activity styles rather than six versions of the same attraction.
Carnival Games
Smaller skill games create more activity stations and can help spread families across the event.

Inflatable Games
Competitive attractions for older students, siblings and guests who want a challenge.
Shop Inflatable Games
Obstacle Courses
Larger race-and-challenge attractions that create a strong focal point for busy school events.
Shop Obstacles
Bounce Houses & Combos
Familiar inflatable fun for elementary students and younger siblings attending family events.

Budget for More Than the Biggest Attraction
The largest inflatable is not automatically the best use of the PTA/PTO event budget. A strong plan considers how many guests an activity can serve, how long they stay in line, how many volunteers are available and how much space the attraction uses.
- Expected attendance and event duration
- Number of activity stations
- Throughput and line length
- Volunteer and attendant coverage
- Power or generator needs
- Concessions and other add-ons

Fundraising With Your School Event
Carnivals and festivals can be major PTA/PTO fundraisers. The money raised may support other school programs and activities later in the year, so the event has to work as both a family experience and an organized fundraiser.
If fundraising is the primary goal, our Fundraiser Event Rentals page covers broader fundraising-event considerations.
Planning a PTA/PTO School Carnival or Festival?
If your event is primarily a school carnival, fall festival or spring festival with families moving freely between games, inflatables, concessions and activity stations, our School Carnival Rentals page goes deeper into crowd flow, activity variety, seasonal planning and carnival-specific setup.
Working With the School Office or District
PTA/PTO volunteers often need to coordinate with the school office, district purchasing or an approved-vendor process before the event. We can support those requirements.
School purchase orders can be accepted when the district uses them.
We can work with qualifying tax-exempt school purchases.
Vendor tax documentation can be provided when requested.
COI documentation is available for school and district requirements.
A school or district can be added as additional insured when required.
We regularly work through school and district vendor paperwork.

Volunteers, Supervision & Attendants
School events are generally supervised by the school, PTA/PTO volunteers or other approved adults. That means volunteer availability should be part of the rental decision from the beginning.
When staffing is needed, Fun Times Party Rental attendants are available for $45 per hour per attendant, with the number of attendants based on the manufacturer's guidelines for the equipment being operated.
Power, Setup & Access Planning
Power
Each inflatable motor or blower needs its own electrical outlet on a separate breaker. Generators are available when appropriate.
Delivery & Setup
Fun Times Party Rental handles delivery, setup and pickup for the event.
Access
Gates, gyms, fields, parking areas, door widths and the route into the actual setup area all matter.

Indoor or Outdoor PTA/PTO Events
PTA/PTO events can work indoors or outdoors when the equipment fits the approved space, access route and surface. We regularly set up on grass, concrete or asphalt, artificial turf and inside school gyms.
- Grass — Yes
- Concrete / asphalt — Yes
- Artificial turf — Yes
- Indoor gyms — Yes, when dimensions and access work
- Rock or dirt — No inflatable setup
When Should PTA/PTO Groups Start Planning?
Carnivals & Festivals
Many schools contact us roughly one month before September/October or April events, though earlier booking gives you more attraction choices.
Spring Field Days
Field Day dates—especially Fridays—can fill much faster. Planning shortly after winter break is a safer approach.
Fixed Date?
If the school calendar gives you only one possible date, reserve earlier rather than building the event around what remains available.
Need Broader School Event Planning?
PTA/PTO groups are only one part of the school-event planning process. For field days, student celebrations, carnivals, family events and the broader campus-event framework, visit our School Event Rentals hub.

How early should we reserve rentals for a PTA or PTO event?
Many school carnival and festival groups contact us around one month before the event, while spring Field Day dates can fill much earlier. Reserving earlier is helpful when the school has a fixed date or wants a particular mix of attractions.
What rentals work well for a PTA or PTO fundraiser?
A balanced fundraiser can combine larger inflatables with carnival games, interactive activities and concessions. The right mix depends on attendance, event duration, available space, volunteer coverage and fundraising goals.
Tell us the school, event type, expected attendance, date, hours and whether fundraising is part of the plan. We can help you think through activity mix, space, power, supervision and school paperwork.
